Utensils

Above are some observational studies I have done of various utensils. I've tried to explore the various ways in which I can create texture and shaded effects through my work by just using black ink.

Textile tea set

I am passionate about all aspects of art and design but I especialy love experimenting with a range of 3D and textilie based techniques. Below is a mini tea set I have done based on a my utensils project.

Observational study

Here is an observational study I have done. I've tried to create a realistic effect by using a combination of water and felt tip pens. As I wanted to capture the colours of shade in certain areas of the pepper.

Photoshop fashion illustration

Above is a fashion illustration I have created using a program called photoshop. I often use photoshop to manipulate my fashion sketches, as I love using a combination of vibrant colours and materials to create exciting outcomes with a mixed media effect.

Wire bird cage

Over the past year I've particularly enjoyed exploring the 3D based aspects of the course, as I was influenced by an artist I researched called Cathy Miles, who specialises in making wire based sculptures. Above is a wire bird cage I have made as I was inspired by her work. I have also tried to create an illustrative effect to my work by adding text to create more of a homely feel.

Illustrations

As I thoroughly love creating visual sketchbooks by illustrating and expressing my ideas and developments through my work. Here are some images I've taken of various pages of my research book as I feel this reflects how I like to be creative when producing my sketchbooks.

Textile bird house

Here I have created a textile bird house as I was influenced by the work of Tamar Mogendorff . Athough I like his work, I've tried to incorporate a quirky feel to my house by making essential objects that a house would need, such as netted curtains wallpaper and photo frames. I did this to try and create a personalised effect to my house.
